| Abortion on Demand Act |
Dear Friends,
This week, while Americans are STILL trapped in Afghanistan and our southern border is STILL out of control, Speaker Nancy Pelosi is STILL prioritizing her agenda by calling for a vote on H.R. 3755, the so-called Women’s Health Protection Act of 2021. If enacted, this legislation would allow abortions for any reason and at any time right up to birth.
It does not matter if the unborn child has a fully developed heart, has arms, legs, fingers, and toes, or pain receptors, at ANY time, Democrats want to allow abortions, and they will finance it with YOUR tax dollars.
It is abortion on demand!
After the United States Supreme Court refused to strike down the Texas Heartbeat Act, which bans abortions after a fetal heartbeat can be detected, Speaker Pelosi demanded this vote to override almost all state pro-life laws. She wants to strip away our states’ rights and give the federal government control over every single part of our daily lives. This is her latest power grab, strictly driven by the selfish motive of appeasing the abortion industry.
Time and again, Democrats in Congress continue to stand in the way of us protecting those who cannot protect themselves. They would rather protect the abortion industrial complex rather than our children, our mothers, and our families.
H.R. 3755 would also force medical professionals to perform or participate in abortions, regardless of their deeply held religious beliefs. In fact, one of the first lines of the bill boldly claims that "abortion services are essential to health care." Can you believe that? Democrats claim a practice that kills innocent lives is health care.
I have dedicated much of my life to defending the rights of the unborn, and I stand in firm opposition to H.R. 3755. Life is a fundamental and indispensable right gifted to every single human being – not from the government, but from God. As Democrats ignore the science, I will continue to fight the abortion industry until all may experience the right to life that only our Creator gives and our Constitution guarantees.

| No End in Sight to Biden's Border Crisis |
Despite what the Biden Administration and mainstream media report, our southern border is in total chaos with 200k+ illegal immigrants pouring across a month. In fact, since Joe Biden took office, OVER 1.2 million immigrants have crossed our southern border ILLEGALLY. That is more than DOUBLE the entire population of the city of Atlanta.
Instead of finding solutions to secure our border, in Washington, Democrats are crying about the Senate Parliamentarian ruling that they can't jam amnesty into their $3.5 TRILLION socialist spending bill. Moreover, the so-called Border Czar, Vice President Kamala Harris, is MIA. She has only been to the border ONCE since her Administration manufactured this crisis, and even then, she stayed 800 miles from the epicenter of it all. Instead, Kamala prioritizes coin tosses at football games and daytime talk shows all while our Border Patrol agents are overwhelmed with over 12,000 migrants in Del Rio, Texas.
Democrats are totally disconnected from reality!
Back in March, President Biden called the border crisis seasonal saying, "It happens every year." Well, I think we can all agree that this is a year-around crisis with no end in sight due to Biden’s decision to repeal President Trump’s WORKING policies.
The current Administration MUST stop refusing to address this crisis. We MUST secure our southern border, and we MUST provide our dedicated Border Patrol agents with the resources they need.

| Upcoming Telephone Town Hall |
I deeply value the opportunity to speak with folks back home while I’m here working in Washington through my telephone town halls. On Thursday, September 23rd, at 6 PM, I will be hosting an hour-long telephone town hall to discuss current events and the issues most important to our 10th Congressional District. However, this time is subject to change depending on the House Floor.

| Hice Headliner: September |
Last week, I had the honor of presenting Barrow County resident Dana Cureton with the September Hice Headliner Award! Nominated by Loganville Mayor Rey Martinez, Dana is the Founder and President of Claudine’s Closet, a nonprofit that partners with business organizations to care for residents in need.
Dana is one of those selfless citizens who springs into action when faced with a need. Time and again, she has teamed up with civic organizations and local businesses to provide backpacks to students and both free meals and clothing to those in need. Dana has organized regular food box giveaways in communities, including Loganville, Monroe, Atlanta, and Snellville, and has demonstrated her deep sense of gratitude by serving up meals to area health care workers. In winter months, Dana drives a mobile 'clothes closet' from which she distributes jackets, home-made mittens, hygiene products, and more.
Dana, thank you for the way in which you bring people together to serve our larger community. Our community is blessed to have you!

| Hice on the Homefront |
On Thursday morning, I was humbled to attend the men’s prayer breakfast at First United Methodist Church in Greensboro. It is a weekly gathering that brings together men of faith to encourage one another and support our families, communities, and nation in prayer. I was honored to join this group and share a faith perspective on our office’s activities in regards to the crisis in Afghanistan.
Then, on Friday, I enjoyed a visit to Hillcrest Farms, a fourth generation, family-operated business in the heart of Dearing and Georgia’s first robotic dairy farm. At Hillcrest, they are devoted to showcasing their top of the line technology, sustainable practices, environmental land management, and most importantly, their Hillcrest happy cows. Not only did I get to tour the farm, but I enjoyed a delicious lunch with other area farmers who belong to the Georgia Milk Producers. A big thank you to Mark and Andy Rodgers for showing me around!
That afternoon, I joined the Consulate General of France to decorate Thomson resident and World War II veteran Luciano "Louis" C. Graziano with the Legion of Honor, France’s highest merit. The Legion of Honor is bestowed upon French citizens and foreign nationals who have served France or the ideals it upholds. This includes individuals who have contributed to the country professionally, as well as veterans such as the Americans who risked their lives during World War II fighting on French soil. Mr. Louis Graziano entered into active service with the United States Army on January 22, 1943. Among his actions, he participated in the Normandy and Rhineland military campaigns, including the third wave of the D-Day Normandy landings. Notably, he was in the room at the "Little Red Schoolhouse" during the signing of the articles of unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany on May 7, 1945, and at the age of 98, he is believed to be the last living witness to this historic event. It was my immense honor to join his family and friends in expressing my deep respect, admiration, and appreciation for his service to our country.

| Service Academy Deadline is Quickly Approaching |
One of my favorite responsibilities as your representative is to help 10th District students attend one of our nation’s U.S. Service Academies through my nomination process. Members of Congress may nominate candidates for appointment to four of the five U.S. service academies: U.S. Military Academy (USMA), West Point, NY; the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA), Annapolis, MD; the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA), Colorado Springs, CO; and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), Kings Point, NY. The fifth service academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (USCGA), New London, CT, does not require a congressional nomination for appointment.
