Congressman Jody Hice today announced he will host the Congressional App Challenge for middle and high school students in Georgia’s 10th Congressional District. The Congressional App Challenge is a competition that encourages students to learn how to code by creating their own applications.

“Members of Congress recognize that STEM and computer-based skills are essential for economic growth, and we’re encouraging students to engage in these fields,” said Congressman Hice. “I’m confident that Georgia is home to some of the most creative and innovative students, and I’m excited to see what these young developers create.”

Each participating Member of Congress will select a winning app from their district, and each winning team will be invited to showcase their winning app to Congress during the annual #HouseOfCode festival.

This competition is open to all students who meet the eligibility requirements, regardless of coding experience. To enter, students must register and submit their apps by Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Help with a Federal Agency

One of the most important things I do as a U.S. Representative is help people with federal problems. Although I cannot override the decisions made by a federal agency, I can often intervene on a person’s behalf to answer questions, find solutions, or just cut through the red tape. Please know that I cannot force an agency to act in favor of a constituent. However, I can help communicate the circumstances and request that they take appropriate actions to assist you.
