Clarke County Resource Director Receives Hice Headliner Award
“My office had tried on several occasions to unsuccessfully reach a homeless constituent by phone and email,” said Congressman Hice. “Then, we contacted Jamie, who informed us that the person hadn’t returned to the Sparrow’s Nest. Nevertheless a few hours later, my casework manager received a call from Jamie with the constituent by his side. He had taken it upon himself to drive around town and locate the person at a homeless camp. This is truly a touching example of the amazing work that Jamie and the entire team at the Sparrow’s Nest provide. Thank you, Jamie, for going the extra mile to ‘love your neighbor as yourself!’”

Help with a Federal Agency
One of the most important things I do as a U.S. Representative is help people with federal problems. Although I cannot override the decisions made by a federal agency, I can often intervene on a person’s behalf to answer questions, find solutions, or just cut through the red tape. Please know that I cannot force an agency to act in favor of a constituent. However, I can help communicate the circumstances and request that they take appropriate actions to assist you.
