Subcommittee on Government Operations Ranking Member Congressman Jody Hice (R-GA) led the following letter from Oversight Committee Republicans requesting a briefing on voter fraud and election irregularities from Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.

“Millions of Americans have lost faith in the integrity of our elections, and that is especially true in my home state of Georgia. Unfortunately, to date, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has largely dismissed these legitimate concerns, asserting that the November election was ‘the most secure in history’ – while simultaneously saying his office is investigating more than 250 cases of potential wrongdoing,” said Congressman Hice.

The pathway to restoring America’s confidence in our elections is through total transparency and aggressively investigating all reports of fraud and irregularities. My colleagues and I on the House Committee on Oversight and Reform are presenting Secretary Raffensperger with the opportunity to explain his actions – and inaction – to the American people, and reassure the nation that the two upcoming Senate runoffs in Georgia will be secure from fraud.”

Help with a Federal Agency

One of the most important things I do as a U.S. Representative is help people with federal problems. Although I cannot override the decisions made by a federal agency, I can often intervene on a person’s behalf to answer questions, find solutions, or just cut through the red tape. Please know that I cannot force an agency to act in favor of a constituent. However, I can help communicate the circumstances and request that they take appropriate actions to assist you.
