Greene County Resident Receives Hice Headliner Award
In this week’s edition of his email newsletter, Congressman Jody Hice (GA-10) honored Tonya McWhorter, Volunteer Coordinator and Operator of the Greene County Food Pantry, as the “Hice Headliner” for the month of June. Each month, Congressman Hice recognizes one outstanding local citizen who goes above and beyond to help their neighbors and strengthen our community.
“Tonya began her work with the Greene County Food Pantry in 2007, and after ten years of volunteering, she was offered a fulltime position as volunteer coordinator,” said Congressman Hice. “Today, Tonya oversees 100-plus volunteers a month as they work to feed over 550 families. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the food pantry has seen a massive increase in demand for support. However, thanks to generous community partners, the facility has been able to withstand the surge in demand. I am incredibly honored to recognize Tonya McWhorter for the impact that she makes each and every day in my home community of Greene County.”

Help with a Federal Agency
One of the most important things I do as a U.S. Representative is help constituents work through issues with federal agencies. Although I cannot override the decisions made by a federal agency, I can often intervene on a constituent’s behalf to get answers to questions, find solutions, or just cut through the red tape. Below you will find a list of agencies with which I can help you. However, regardless of which agency you need help navigating, you must complete a privacy authorization form to comply with the provisions of the Privacy Act. Please download this printable version of the casework authorization form and then fax or mail to the address listed under the agency from which you are seeking assistance.Casework Authorization Form
