Milledgeville, GA – In this week’s edition of his email newsletter, Congressman Jody Hice (GA-10) honored Greensboro residents, Stu and Kim Scherer, as the “Hice Headliners” for the month of September. Each month, he recognizes one or two outstanding local citizens who go above and beyond to help their neighbors and strengthen our community.

“Dedicated Christians and humble volunteers, the Scherers work tirelessly, both together and individually, to help improve our area,” said Congressman Hice. “Whether it’s their work with the Greene County Habitat for Humanity, ministering to incarcerated men at Kairos Prison Ministry, helping set families on healthy and productive paths at ATLAS Ministry, or simply welcoming folks to their church, Greensboro First United Methodist Church, these partners strive daily to ensure that others feel welcome by sharing God’s grace and love. It’s families and partners like the Scherers who truly help our community grow together – thank you for the outstanding contributions you make every single day!”

To nominate an individual for the “Hice Headliner” award, email what he or she is doing to improve our area to Jessica.Hayes@mail.house.gov.

Help with a Federal Agency

One of the most important things I do as a U.S. Representative is help constituents work through issues with federal agencies. Although I cannot override the decisions made by a federal agency, I can often intervene on a constituent’s behalf to get answers to questions, find solutions, or just cut through the red tape. Below you will find a list of agencies with which I can help you. However, regardless of which agency you need help navigating, you must complete a privacy authorization form to comply with the provisions of the Privacy Act. Please download this printable version of the casework authorization form and then fax or mail to the address listed under the agency from which you are seeking assistance.
