Thomson, GA – Congressman Jody Hice (GA-10), in coordination with the Thomson-McDuffie Chamber of Commerce, will host a job fair on Saturday, July 27th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Thomson-McDuffie Campus of Augusta Technical College. The event will connect community talent with developing businesses and growing industries while offering free continuing-education workshops throughout the morning.

“There couldn’t be a better time to be looking for work in the Peach State,” said Congressman Hice. “I’m pleased to join with community partners to present the 2019 Thomson-McDuffie County Job Fair and unite job seekers with local employers. Thanks to reforms implemented under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the economy continues to flourish, and Georgia remains the number one state in which to do business. So, if you’re a company looking to hire or an individual searching for a job, this is the event for you.”

“Opportunities abound in McDuffie County and the surrounding communities,” said Debbie Jones, Executive Director of the Thomson-McDuffie Chamber of Commerce. “From local businesses to major industries, this year’s job fair has so much to offer, and new this year, we will present free short workshops to help job seekers better prepare for next steps in their career.”

Help with a Federal Agency

One of the most important things I do as a U.S. Representative is help constituents work through issues with federal agencies. Although I cannot override the decisions made by a federal agency, I can often intervene on a constituent’s behalf to get answers to questions, find solutions, or just cut through the red tape. Below you will find a list of agencies with which I can help you. However, regardless of which agency you need help navigating, you must complete a privacy authorization form to comply with the provisions of the Privacy Act. Please download this printable version of the casework authorization form and then fax or mail to the address listed under the agency from which you are seeking assistance.
