Engaging with everyday Americans both in my congressional district in Georgia and across the Nation – from law enforcement to grieving “Angel Parents” of those murdered by illegal immigrants – has shown me beyond a shadow of a doubt that we must act now to address the crisis at the southern border. The simple truth is border secu... Read more

WASHINGTON — America’s southern border is at a breaking point. I recently joined my colleagues, Congressmen Michael Cloud of Texas and Glenn Grothman of Wisconsin, in traveling to the Rio Grande Valley and Laredo sectors of the Lone Star State in order to get an up-close and personal view of this crisis. And let me be clear: It is a crisis. This trip was certainly eye-opening, and it’s obvious that criminal cartels in both Mexico and Central America are maintaining an outsized influence in the r... In Case You Missed It… President Trump is forced into declaring a national emergency Congress fails to deal with the humanitarian and national security crisis on our southern border By Rep. Jody Hice (R-GA) There is no question that the United States is facing both a humanitarian and national security crisis on our southern border. Just think about this: 2,000 illegal and inadmissible migrants arrive at our border every day; our immigration courts have a backlog of more than 800,000 cases; and i... Read more

Washington, D.C. – Regretfully, another week has come and gone without any real progress in addressing the border security crisis and ending the partial government shutdown. As the impasse continues, I want to take time to detail just why it’s so important to secure our border, stem the flow of illegal immigration into our country, and reopen the government, as well as how Congressional Republicans intend to accomplish this. With weekly jobless claims at their lowest since 1969, our economy cont... Read more

Washington, D.C. – The past few days in Washington, there’s been just one thing on people’s minds: border security. For decades, politicians have been promising a wall that will help protect our Nation’s borders, and for decades, politicians have failed to follow through on that promise. To that, I say “time’s up.” In less than two weeks, Republicans will lose control of the U.S. House of Representatives, and Democrats – who have advocated everything from open borders to abolishing ICE – will ta... Help with a Federal Agency

One of the most important things I do as a U.S. Representative is help constituents work through issues with federal agencies. Although I cannot override the decisions made by a federal agency, I can often intervene on a constituent’s behalf to get answers to questions, find solutions, or just cut through the red tape. Below you will find a list of agencies with which I can help you. However, regardless of which agency you need help navigating, you must complete a privacy authorization form to comply with the provisions of the Privacy Act. Please download this printable version of the casework authorization form and then fax or mail to the address listed under the agency from which you are seeking assistance.
